Abstract

Adjuvants/immunostimulants are no longer esoteric tools or playthings of the immunologist. Nevertheless they can take their rightful place in the therapeutic armoury only when problems of their safety and acceptability are resolved. Pharmacologists/toxicologists and chemical innovators are certainly needed to assist the efforts of immunobiologists to bring about a prospective revolution in treating cancer, leprosy, rheumatoid arthritis etc. through inducing constructive immunostimulation.
