The sensitivity to sanguinarine of various strains belonging to 4 vibrio biotypes was investigated.Vibrio cholerae (classical) was most sensitive, andVibrio parahaemolyticus least sensitive to this alkaloid. Statistical analysis revealed significant differences between the 4 biotypes in their sensitivity to sanguinarine.
