Der Quecksilbergehalt im Mutterblut von Ratten war nach Injektionen von Quecksilbersalz 25 mal hoher als derjenige von mit radioaktivem Quecksilberdampf behandelten Muttertieren. Auf den Foetus ging hingegen 47 mal mehr Quecksilber uber, wenn das Muttertier Quecksilberdampfen ausgesetzt wurde.
