L'administration i.v. d'un extrait aqueux de tissu adipeux (ATE) a des rats intacts surrenalectomises provoque un etat de glycogenolyse hepatique suivi d'hypoglycemie. La glycogenolyse semble etre independante de l'epinephrine. L'hypoglycemie provoquee par l'ATE resulte en partie de la mobilisation acceleree des reserves de glycogene hepatique.
