Abstract

The fact that the formalism of stochastic electrodynamics includes the reaction force, makes the calculation of the natural line-breadth straightforward. The evaluation of the relativistic correction to energy levels is greatly simplified in stochastic electrodynamics and brings out the concept of the propagation of the Coulomb field with the velocity of electromagnetic waves.
