The paper deals with the testing of the cloud top entrainment hypothesis. The method is based on the works by Warner[1–3], Paluch[4] and Telford[5]. The levels at which the entrained air might originate were determined. Several types of successions of entrainment levels were found; in the upper parts of cumuli, entrainment from above the level of “observation” prevailed.
