1. An empirical relationship has been proposed between the calculated and actual frequencies which allows the Vlasov theory of oscillations of thin-walled rods to be applied to the case where the longitudinal dimension is commensurate with the greatest transverse dimension. 2. The error in calculating the frequencies does not exceed 10% for values of b/l (ratio of the width of the rod to its length) in the range 0.15–0.40 for oscillation modes below the principal platelike mode.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 1 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
