Die untersuchten Karpelle der GattungenBubbia, Belliolum, Pseudowintera, Exospermum undZygogynum erweisen sich ebenfalls nicht nur durch ihre ausere Form, sondern auch durch ihre inneren Baumerkmale (Auftreten eines Ventralmedianus und Ausbildung einer U-formigen Plazenta) als peltate Blatter mit nicht selten extremer Schlauchgestalt.
