Abstract

In der Chirurgischen Klinik der Medizinischen Akademie Dusseldorf wurden von 1946 bis 1964 insgesamt 268 entzundliche Sigmaerkrankungen beobachtet. Seit 1950 last sich eine erhebliche Zunahme dieser Sigmoiditiden nachweisen. Bemerkenswert ist die grose Zahl von regionalen Colitiden ohne Divertikelnachweis. Die bevorzugte Altersgruppe ist diejenige von 50 bis 70 Jahren. Manner und Frauen sind im Verhaltnis 54: 46 betroffen. Die Leukocytenzahlen, Blutsenkungsgeschwindigkeit und Hamoglobinwerte waren selbst bei Perforationen nicht selten normal. Oft wurde selbst bei langdauernden Blutungen ein Hbg/Wert uber 90% gemessen. Die geklagten Beschwerden waren in der Reihenfolge ihrer Haufigkeit: Schmerzen im linken Unterbauch, Obstipation, Diarrhoe, blutiger Stuhl und Gewichtsverlust. In der Regel konnte die Diagnose rontgenologisch geklart werden, seltener durch Probelaparotomie. In drei Fallen war eine Perforation im Rontgenbild sichtbar.
