Abstract

Die Karpelle vonMichelia kingii besitzen einen deutlich erkennbaren Schlauchteil, der nur basal mit der Blutenachse verwachsen ist. Diese Tatsache erlaubt die Folgerung, das auch die Karpelle vonMagnolia peltat gebaut sind, welche Bauweise sich hier ja bereits durch das Vorkommen eines Ventralmedianus andeutet; jedoch ist ihr Schlauchteil zur Ganze mit der Blutenachse verwachsen und damit maskiert. Auch fur die Karpelle der restlichen Magnoliaceen-Gattungen durfte dies mit groser Wahrscheinlichkeit zutreffen, vor allem fur jene vonLiriodendron undTalauma, welche ebenfalls einen Ventralmedianus ausgebildet haben.
