Abstract

1. Es wird gezeigt, das die Elektrizitatserregung bei der Beruhrung zweier Dielektrika auch in dem mit den jetzigen Hilfsmitteln erreichbaren ausersten Hochvakuum —also bei weitgehendem Ausschlus von Gas- und Feuchtigkeitsresten —auftritt. Der Ladnngssinn entspricht in allen Fallen dem Ladungsgesetz fur Dielektrika. 2. Metalle und Amalgame zeigen im Hochvakuum gegen Glas eine Aufladung, deren Sinn — im Gegensatz zu fruheren Versuchen uber den gleichen Gegenstand — stets reproduzierbar ist. Das Vorzeichen dieser Ladung ist von dem elektrochemischen Charakter des Metalls abhangig.
