The electronic states in a weak, spatially correlated disordered potential are investigated using a translationally invariant formalism within a tight binding model. The effect of the disorder is mapped intok-space. The influence of the statistical correlation on the density of states and their localization properties is studied in the one-dimensional limit. It is shown that clustering supports tail states while the middle of the band is strongly affected by rapidly alternating configurations.
