Leiomyomatous colonic polyps are rare. We report a patient with an asymptomatic 15-mm submucosal polyp in the sigmoid colon. The tumor was successfully removed by endoscopy. Histopathological examination revealed a leiomyoma originating in the muscularis mucosa.
