At the present time, the materials based on silicon nitride are considered to be the most promising structural ceramics. They possess high levels of strength and fracture toughness at different temperatures and are characterized by high thermal shock resistance, hardness, and wear resistance. Furthermore, they exhibit satisfactory resistance to oxidation and corrosion and have a low density [1]. The properties of silicon nitride are given below:
