1. Oligopeptides participate in the organization of eating and defense behavior and self-stimulation. 2. The majority of the investigated oligopeptides when injected into the lateral ventricles have an inhibitory influence on the manifestation of biological motivations. Along with this, oligopeptides intensifying biological motivations are found: pentagastrin intensifies eating motivation, bradykinin defense motivation, and ACTH5–8 self-stimulation. 3. Oligopeptides act as a feedback link between the genome of brain neurons and pacemaker cells of the motivatiogenic centers of the hypothalamic region.
