Die Verseifung des Suberins der Kartoffelschale ergab folgende Bestandteile:n-Alkane (C14-C40),n-Alkanole (C16-C28, C30), gesattigte und ungesattigte Monocarbonsauren (C10, C12-C31), gesattigte und ungesattigte α, ω-Dicarbonsauren (C15-C29), gesattigte und ungesattigte ω-Hydroxycarbonsauren (C16-C28, C30), 10,16-Dihydroxyhexadecansaure, 8,9-Dihydroxyheptadecandisaure, 9,10-Dihydroxyoctadecandisaure, 9,10,18-Trihydroxyoctadecansaure. Hauptbestandteile sind: Octadecen-9-disaure(39%) und 18-Hydroxyoctadecen-9-saure (21%). Im unverseifbaren Ligninrackstand liesen sich nach Abbau mit HJ Monocarbonsauren (C11-C30) in geringen Mengen nachweisen. Die Identifizierungen erfolgten mittels DC, IR, GC sowie massenspektrometrisch ubereine GC-MS-Kopplung.
