The maximal numberl(f) of conjunctions in a dead-end disjunctive normal form (d.n.f.) of a Boolean functionf and the numberτ (f) of dead-end d.n.f. are important parameters characterizing the complexity of algorithms for finding minimal d.n.f. It is shown that for almost all Boolean functionsl(f)2n−1, log2τ(f)2n−1log2nlog2log2n (n→∞).

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 3 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 10% | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
