1. A series of water-soluble rhodium complexes containing diphenyl-m-sulfophenylphosphine as ligand are synthesized. The catalytic activity of the synthesized complexes in the WGSR is studied. 2. Probable mechanistic schemes for the WGSR are proposed, including intermediates not containing halide ions.
