The activity of trehalase in the cestode,Stilesia globipunctata was maximum at pH 6.0 and temperature 55°C. LiCl and KCl activated while MgCl2, MnCl2, CoCl2, CuCl2, CdCl2, HgCl2, BaCl2 and ZnCl2 inhibited the enzyme activity. Among amino acids lysine, tryptophane, methionine and threonine activated and proline, phenylalanine, glycine and glutamine inhibited the enzyme activity.
