Profound purification of tetrbutyltin by the method of fractional distillation

Abstract

1. The coefficients of separation for a mixture of Bu4Sn- Bu3SnCl were determined by a circulation method, and the values of the coefficient of separation were calculated by a static method for a number of systems Bu4Sn- impurity. 2. A method was developed for the profound purification of tetrabutyltin by fractional distillation at reduced pressure. Samples of tetrabutyltin containing <5·10−4 mole % total impurities were obtained.
