The investigation of the nonmetallic inclusion distribution along the length of the tube was made in the center portion of specimens with an area of 400 mm/sup 2/ cut across the cross section of the casting. It is shown that in centrifugally cast semifinished tubes of 15Kh1M1F steel the nonmetallic inclusions accumulate primarily at the inner surface, which makes it possible to remove them in machining. The nonmetallic inclusion content in most of the metal is relatively low.
