A modified method is described for determining dynamic yield strength under conditions of a nonuniaxial stressed state with high strain rates suggested by Taylor which is based on measuring the distribution of residual strains in a cylinder after impact of it with a rigid barrier. Dependences are established for the yield strength on strain rate intensity.
