In this work a study was made of grain growth kinetics in steels of the 37KhI2N8G8 type alloyed with V, Nb, Ti, Mo, and W (see Table i). Steels were melted in an electric arc furnace. Ingots obtained by vacuum casting after a homogenizing anneal at I050°C for 8 h were forged into bars 15 × 15 mm in section at I180-900°C. Specimens cut from bars were heated in a salt bath to 1150, 1200, and 1250°C with soaking for 1.5 h and water quenching.
