Investigation of the structure and elemental composition of group components of petroleum residua by IR spectroscopic methods

Abstract

1. IR and UV spectroscopy have been used to study the chemical structure of the constituent components of petroleum residua. 2. IR spectroscopy has also been used to study the elemental composition of these materials. 3. Analogous constituent components (fractions) of the petroleum residua that were investigated had identical chemical composition and similar chemical structure.
