La polyesterification de l'anhydride maleique avec l'ethylene glycol catalysee par l'acide p-toluene sulfonique dans des conditions tres controlees donne un polyester lineaire insature de MN elevee. L'isomerisation cis-trans dans le milieu semble le principal obstacle a l'obtention de polymeres de MN plus elevee
