La polymerisation de l'isobutene dans CH 3 Cl amorcee par BCl 3 en presence de DMSO ou de DMA donne, en fonction de l'alcool tertiaire utilise, des PIB telecheliques tCl-PIB-tCl lineaires ou en etoile a 3 branches terminees par des chloropropyl tertiaires (tCl). L'etude du mecanisme montre que les chlorures tertiaires formes par reaction de BCl 3 avec les alcools, seraient les amorceurs
