Dusting in the space above the bed in converters with a fluidized catalyst bed

Abstract

1. A calculating equation (1) is proposed for determining dusting in the space above the bed in fluidized bed apparatus. Experimental measurements of the dusting were made and, using these measurements, values were found for the constant quantities entering into this equation. 2. An equation (10) was obtained for the approximate determination of the height of the separation zone in fluidized bed apparatus, and a method is proposed for calculating the disperse composition of the catalyst over the height of the separation zone.
