Beitrag zur Züchtungsmethodik bei Weißklee (Trifolium repens)

Abstract

In den Jahren 1951–1957 wurden Versuche zum Zweck des Vergleichs mehrerer Methoden der Zuchtung von Weisklee durchgefuhrt. Es handelte sich um die Auslese aus einer Wildpopulation durch Fruhselektion, Einzelpflanzen-und Klonauslese mit Nachkommenschaftsprufung und Anwendung des Polycrossverfahrens. Die auf diese oder jene Weise erhaltenen Stamme wurden in mehreren Einzelversuchen und in einer grosen Versuchsserie auf ihre Leistung bezgl. Grunmasse und Samen gepruft. Das Ergebnis besteht darin, das mit beiden Verfahren ein erheblicher Zuchtungsfortschritt erzielt wurde. 2 zum Vergleich herangezogene bekannte Sorten wurden etwas ubertroffen und die Urpopulation um 25–30%. Eine Beziehung zwischen der Leistung der fur das Polycrossfeld verwendeten Klone und deren generativen Nachkommenschaften konnte nicht festgestellt werden, woraus sich ergibt, das die Kombinationseignung der Stamme von Bedeutung ist. In Rahmen von pflanzenbaulichen Betrachtungen wird angeregt, den Weisklee als einjahrige Leguminose zu behandeln.
