1. The characteristic boride phases in multi-alloyed nickel-base alloys are M3B2 and M5B3. 2. The type of boride phase is determined by the chromium, molybdenum, and tungsten content in the alloy. 3. In alloys in which borides of two types are observed a type M5B3→M3B2 boride reaction is possible during heat treatment and subsequent aging.
