Age and performance in athletics

Abstract

The study presents the age distribution of the best Finnish sportsmen in 20 track and field events, in ski sports, ball games and competitive lumber work. The results are shown graphically and in tables, in which the significance of the differences of the mean age in the various sports is also calculated. The results are discussed and compared to related studies.
