Electric polarization induced by a nonhomogenous deformation flied — flexo-electricity — has has been studied on a model of polymer in the glassy state. The results are expressed in terms of phenomenological coefficients, which are analogical to the electric polarizability. It is found that a gradient of the tensor of small rotation, and not just that of small deformation contributes to the polarization.
