1. Modern titanium alloys have different structures and properties. The binary alloy with the α+β structure is the most widely used in industry. 2. It should be noted that high-strength alloys with the α-structure, alloys with an unstable β-phase which are strengthened by heat treatment, and alloys with an intermetallic type of strengthening are beginning to appear. 3. The tendency in further improvement of titanium alloys is to increase the degree of alloying and to decrease the concentration of harmful impurities.
