We observed, for the first time, adsorption of weakly bonded oxygen at low temperature (<-250°C) by a Y5Ba6Cu11O y sample, using thermogravimetric analysis. The resulting “oxygen enriched” phase in the surface layers may be attributed to the observation of a superconductivity-like transition at above 200 K.
