TiO2-supported cobalt systems have been studied both in the oxidized and in the reduced state. After high temperature (770 K) reduction no hydrogen adsorption is observed, indicating the occurrence of strong interactions with the support. Oxidation at room temperature is not observed, but after 770 K oxidation, Co3O4 particles are detected, decreasing the dispersion of the supported phase and the extent of their interaction with the support.
