Abstract

A method was developed for the synthesis of 5-acylamino-2,3dimethyl- and 5-acylamino2,3-tetramethyle nethiophenes by decarboxylation of the corresponding 5-acylaminothiop hene4-carboxylie acids. The azo coupling and arninomethylatio n of the synthesized acylaminothiophenes were studied.
