Diploid monohybrids of adenine 8 alleles were constructed to permit visual detection of meiotic gene conversion. In addition to the 3+:1 m and 1+:3 m tetrads routinely encountered, aberrant segregations comparable to the 5+:3 m and 3+:5 m patterns detected in octad ascomycetes were observed. These latter types are tetrads bearing ascospores which give rise to sectored ascosporal colonies.

| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 10% | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
