Abstract

Two new species related to C. strobilus are described and illustrated by means of light and electron microscopy. Certain features of the haptonema and scales resemble those of C. strobilus. Aspects of the origin of scales from the Golgi system are illustrated in C. camella and some unusual features are discussed.
