Abstract

Die polyenergide Xanthophycee Botrydium granulatum wurde nach Glutaraldehydfixierung elektronenmikroskopisch an Ultradunnschnitten untersucht. 1. Die Energiden sind cytomorphologisch nicht gegeneinander abgegrenzt. 2. Die Chromatophoren besitzen keine Grana, ihre Thylakoide sind zu Dreiergruppen assoziiert. Die Thylakoidmembranen erscheinen innerhalb dieser Dreiergruppen einander genahert, jedoch nicht zu gemeinsamen, dickeren Membranen verschmolzen. Jede Plastide enthalt ein nicht von einer besonderen Membranen verschmolzen. Jede Plastide enthalt ein nicht von einer besonderen Membran umgebenes Pyrenoid, das von Thylakoidbandern aquidistant durchsetzt ist. 3. Periplastidare Cisternen des endoplasmatischen Reticulum stehen zu gewissen Zeiten — besonders wahrend der Schwarmerbildung — mit der Kernhulle in Verbindung. 4. Der Golgi-Apparat besteht aus netzig gebauten Dictyosomen, die jeweils paarweise einem Kern zugeordnet sind. Die ausere Kernmembran weist im Bereich der Dictyosomen blaschenformige Vorwolbungen auf, die sich von ihr abzutrennen scheinen und als Vesikel den plasmatischen Raum zwischen Kern und Dictyosom erfullen (Regeneration des Golgi-Apparates?). Die Lage des Golgi-Apparates in bezug auf Centriolen bzw. Geiseln ist parabasal. 5. Die ruhende Alge besitzt zwei Centriolen pro Kern. Aus ihnen gehen bei der Schwarmerbildung zwei Geiseln hervor. Diese liegen vor der Freisetzung der Schwarmer uberwiegend in kleinen Vacuolen. Ihre Basis zeigt eine kurze “Ubergangsregion”.
