Evaluation des poids humides de micronecton apr�s centrifugation

Abstract

1. Les auteurs decrivent une methode permettant, par centrifugation, d'essorer rapidement, sans les deteriorer, les organismes du micronecton en vue de pesees humides reproductibles. La vitesse de rotation correspondant a une acceleration centrifuge de 56 g est determinee comme eliminant l'eau interstitielle retenue par des billes de verre. Une duree de centrifugation de 1 min est retenue car elle restitue les organismes en parfait etat. 2. La reproductibilite de la methode est testee sur les billes de verre et sur divers groupes d'organismes. Independante de la taille des echantillons, elle varie suivant les organismes. Elle est d'autant meilleure que leur teneur en eau est plus faible. 3. Cette methode permet done d'evaluer des poids humides dans de bonnes limites de reproductibilite pour les organismes a teneur en eau moyenne ou faible et n'introduit pas de variabilite supplementaire pour les organismes riches en eau pour lesquels les variations de pertes d'eau interne dues aux manipulations sont preponderantes.
