Forty-seven patients with hemifacial atrophy are presented an the clinical features of the condition discussed. A series of illustrative cases show the variety of treatment used in this condition and the limitation of the available treatments. New techniques, such as three-dimensional CT scanning, injections of liquid silicone, microvascular reconstruction and skin expansion, are discussed.
