Chromosomes were studied in 32 non-LSD-using controls (Group I), nine psychiatric patients treated with LSD (Group IIa), and a young married couple, both of whom had taken LSD, and their child (Group IIb). The incidence of chromosomal breaks in Groups IIa and IIb was significantly higher than that of Control Group I.
