A series of 141 alloplastic implants in 98 patients — 74 hydroxyapatite and 67 proplast hydroxyapatite — is presented. The areas of the face treated, the advantages and the complications associated with these materials in this series is outlined. Each implant has its own characteristics, making it more suitable in certain situations. At the moment, proplast hydroxyapatite seems to be the more useful of the two.
