Electrical parameters were optimized for induction of the fusion of protoplasts formed from two auxotrophic (leu−, ade−) Mucor circinelloides strains. These proved to be a pulse voltage of 66 V, a pulse duration of 66 us and six pulses at intervals of 1.0 s. Nutritionally complementing colonies were obtained at an average frequency up to 12.4%, which is substantially higher than achieved earlier with the PEG-Ca2+ method.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 1 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
