
Several classification schemes have been proposed for bile duct neoplasms. The most widely accepted is that of the World Health Organization. Adenocarcinomas, intraductal papillary neoplasms, and mucinous cystic neoplasms constitute about 95% of all intra- and extrahepatic bile duct neoplasms.
