Abstract

Another group of methodological doctrines is composed of those which are based on the tradition of empiricism. Let us start with the analysis of positivism. A positivist will be conceived as someone who claims (epi-stemological) phenomenalism: the necessary condition for a sentence to describe phenomena is to remain in a meaning-relation to observational sentences.
