Vector graphics for the graphic designer and artist with applications in trademark design, as graphic elements such as screens, rules, typographical ornaments and borders, textile and wrapping paper patterns, animation and fine art. This paper illustrates how the hard-edged medium of the straight line can be used to create solid shapes, curved, flowing forms, and airbrush like appearance not usually associated with it.
