Abstract

Es ist ubersichtlicher und wird international auch haufig praktiziert, den durchschnittlichen taglichen Energiebedarf fur korperliche Aktivitaten anteilig am Grundumsatz darzustellen. Dieser Wert fur den Leistungsumsatz heist dann »physical activity level« (PAL). Ein solches Vorgehen hat den Vorteil, dass bestimmte den Energiebedarf beeinflussende Faktoren wie Alter, Geschlecht und Korpergewicht in diese Maszahl bereits einbezogen sind und damit der Energieaufwand fur definierte korperliche Aktivitaten bei unterschiedlichen Personen vergleichbar wird.
