Gram-Negative Folliculitis

Abstract

Die Gram-negative Follikulitis (eigentlich sollte es heisen: Follikulitis durch Gram-negative Keime, aber der Terminus hat sich so eingeburgert, das wir ihn belassen wollen) wurde erstmals 1968 bei einer Gruppe Patienten mit langjahriger therapierefraktarer Acne vulgaris beschrieben. Seitdem wurde die Erkrankung wiederholt sorgfaltig untersucht und ihre klinischen Formen ausfuhrlich beschrieben. Glucklicherweise steht heutzutage eine wirkungsvolle Therapie zur Verfugung. Rosazeapatienten konnen ebenfalls an dieser Komplikation erkranken. Zudem gibt es eine wenig beschriebene Follikulitis des Kapillitiums bei einer anderen Patientengruppe, die auch zu dieser Gram-negativen Infektion gehort. Die Diagnose wird oft nicht gestellt. Allerdings kann die Erkrankung bereits aufgrund des klinischen Erscheinungsbildes vermutet werden. Der Beweis ist nur durch Anzuchtung Gram-negativer Bakterien moglich. Die Erkrankung ist haufiger als allgemein angenommen wird. Es liegen nur Berichte uber etwa 80 Patienten von verschiedenen Autorengruppen vor.
