Abstract

Seit einigen Jahren wird das Total Quality Management (TQM) auch in Europa propagiert. Jedoch mus vor dieser aus den USA stammenden Philosophie gewarnt werden. Ihre Implementierung setzt zunachst die Beherrschung der einfachen Regeln der europaischen Qualitatsstandards/Qualitatsnormen voraus. Das gilt vor allen Dingen bei der Klassifizierung der seit uber 40 Jahren bestehenden Einteilung der Fehlerarten: Uberkritische Fehler: Fehler, die Menschenleben gefahrden konnen. Hier sind wirtschaftliche Betrachtungen nicht zulassig, auch keine Stichprobenprufungen; Hauptfehler A + B: Fehler, die das Erzeugnis fur den vorgesehenen Verwendungszweck unbrauchbar machen oder stark beeintrachtigen; Nebenfehler A + B: Fehler, die voraussichtlich die Brauchbarkeit nicht oder nur wenig beeintrachtigen.
