The anomaly of double outlet right ventricle is characterized by a subaortic or subpulmonary VSD from which the two great arteries arise. More than 50% of both great arteries arise from the right ventricle, whereas the main outlet from the left ventricle is the VSD. Pulmonary valve or infundibular stenosis is common, and the hemodynamics and symptoms are therefore similar to those in the tetralogy of Fallot.
